bmurator Canadian Black Metal. All hail the dissonance! This is a one man, Joe Caswell, project & it is his debut album as far as Drowstorm is concerned. This is different to normal BM, at least to me. It is considerably more haunting as well as tortured in many ways. But, it is no less enjoyable! It could have been one song longer but... :) Check out Joe's other projects too (Burden of Ymir, Olim, Vintertodt & Swamp Fiend). Highly recommended! Favorite track: Death Roots.

1.
Tributary 06:33
Field of dead Rivers red flowing to the roots Feeding on the fallen, decay Flesh lies open, spilling wide Pooling toward a single source Death surrounds a ravenous entity Tributary of the creature Rivers red in furrowed earth Feast of a new being Summon an unending thirst Create death Life bleeds Conquest feeds Run crimson Rusting blades bend in the night A new awareness receives Counter the passage for all time Chain reaction of filth Vultures swarming the remains Bleed
2.
Carrion Wind 04:52
Field of the dead Decay carried on the air Feeding scavengers Start of a new, feeding on old Crafting an unrepentant devourer Die and feed The fallen reduced to carrion Drenching the soil to the roots Tree of woe breathes the rot Consuming intruders soon Wretched wind Miasma consumes air Foul draft, flesh laid bare Reaching abundance, threshing the dead Carrion creating a killer flowing with red
3.
Death Roots 06:29
Contemplation ceased, fired from the center Crafting demise, sworn to sunder An arrogant vision led to a crimson stream Now feeding the roots for an hubristic dream Core grows from within Gorging death Followers deceased, crushed from the outset Soaking the roots, forming hazard Balance realigned Courting destruction, short of time Now standing tall, waiting to grasp Confined to a single base
4.
Vultures circle high Cursed sit below with those that died Change direction of the green that was Many have fallen today The wind cries and carries the decay A feeder of immense size An eclipse of life, extinguished in darkness Dead in great numbers, soon bled dry Drawn by steel Contradicting sides Devoid of reason, divide Now haunting the field like ghosts of old Drawn by blood
5.
A lone sphere within the void Held by a fire giant, spells death to come Propagating hate Killing, dying, rotting Let the species burn Wallow in ignorance and arrogance Blood to spill, ground to destroy Wasting away, no self-preservation Why? False masters of demise Fallacy of perdition Feigned prophecy Razor to the wrist of the world
